OUR PROGRAMS

 

 The primary goal of the program is to facilitate the maximum development of the whole child. That is, the child's intellectual, physical, and social capabilities so that the early years are spent in the richest most constructive way possible. Educational programs are available for the following age groups:

Infants 

6 weeks to 15 months old. 4:1 teacher child ratio

 

Toddlers 

15 months- 24 months. 5:1 teacher child ratio

 

Two's 

24 months to 36 months. 8:1 teacher child ratio

 

Full Time & 1/2 Day Pre-School

3 & 4 years old. 10:1 teacher child ratio

Kindergarten(Chicago Ridge only) 

must be 5 years old by September 1

 20:1 teacher child ratio

 

School Age 

Before & After School Care with Transportation to & from local area schools with Homework Assistance. 

Holiday & School Break Care

Summer Camp 

20:1 teacher child ratio

​​​STAFF

Teachers have their Master's,  BA., A.S, or CDA degrees and are CPR and first aid certified. Staff also participate in annual continued education classes, seminars and online training to stay current on the most up to date trends and information in the Early Childhood Education field.

CURRICULUM

Penny Lane Schools use the Teaching Strategies GOLD SmartTeach Creative Curriculum.  The Creative Curriculum is a top rated early childhood curriculum that builds children’s confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills through hands-on, project-based investigations.  Used by Head Start programs and aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards, objectives for development and leaning are broken down into the following categories:
