Circle Time Area...Where we start our day with the morning message which help
identify the sight words. We then do calendar activities which include days and
months. Each day we put a number on the 100 days chart and count up to that
number. We also display the name of each book we read, this particular year we
made water pipes. We conclude circle time with an explanation of the days
activities. Rhythm, music and song are also done as a group in this area.

Children use the computers during
Learning station time using many
educational games available.

The Science station has many things for the children to explore
and learn with. Including a hermit crab and fish. This station is
always growing as we do experiments throughout the school year.

The "word wall" is used for the children
to learn number words and
independently seek out words to read.

The "Vegetable Man" is a combination of creative art and
writing used to finish our unit on gardening.
What great imaginations they had!

The "Parent Board" contains information important to your child's
curriculum, you will find a weekly lesson plan, menu, daily schedule
and notices about upcoming events.

At the chalkboard we do the "Intensive Phonics" program. The children go
to the board to write per the teacher's instructions. Children learn upper
and lower case letters, are instructed to write from left to right and top to
bottom. Children also learn the sound the letter makes.

The listening center is used for the children to listen to
stories independently. In this center children enhance their
listening skills both here and at home.
